Class is back in session and with it are some perfect pairings! Now open to vaccinated curd nerds only, we are excited to start teaching about the pleasures of cheese once again. Join us as we explore 4 different cheeses and pair them alongside 4 delicious goods from all over the flavor wheel. This class will not only educate you on the specific cheeses and cheese families, but you'll learn our tried and true pairing concepts - all with generous pours of sparkling and red wine!

We are super excited to welcome you back inside of our classrooms to engage once again in cheesey learning! We’ll be starting small with a few classes a week and building back up to our regularly scheduled programming over the coming months. In the meantime we are taking every safety precaution to allow for a safe reentry. This includes only opening our classrooms at this time to vaccinated guests. Additionally, for the safety of our teams and customers, we encourage everyone to wear a mask before taking a seat at their table regardless of vaccination status. At this time, we cannot accommodate non vaccinated guests with the appropriate social distancing. We will be asking for vaccination cards or the Excelsior pass during check in for our classes. If you do not have your pass or card with you, we will not be permitted to let you inside the classroom and tickets CANNOT be refunded. We ask that you make this process as seamless as possible and PLEASE remember your vaccination cards. There will be absolutely NO exceptions. We thank you for your continued support of our programming and we will be in touch as the date of the classes get closer.

Do I Need To Be Vaccinated To Take An In-Person Class?

Yes. At this time, we cannot accommodate non-vaccinated guests with the appropriate social distancing. By hosting vaccinated attendees we can host up to 15 guests at one time. For the safety of our teams and customers, we encourage everyone to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status.

Are You Using the Honor System for Vaccination Proof?

No, we require proof of vaccination to take an in-person class. We will be asking for vaccination cards or the Excelsior pass during check in for our classes. If you do not have your pass or card with you, we will not be permitted to let you inside the classroom and tickets CANNOT be refunded.

How Much Do Cheese Classes Cost?

Classes start at $75 online and $90 in person.

Can I Transfer from One Class to Another?

We are unable to refund tickets, and are only sometimes able to transfer them. There are no guaranteed ticket transfers.

I Can’t Make the Class I Signed Up For

We are unable to refund tickets, and are only sometimes able to transfer them. There are no guaranteed ticket transfers. Up to 48 hours before a class, if the class is full and has a waitlist, there is sometimes the option to transfer tickets to another class of equal or lesser value. The fee for transferring a class is $10 per ticket. If it is less than 48 hours before an event, we cannot transfer the tickets.

If you can’t make the virtual class as planned, we do send a recording out shortly after the end of virtual classes.

I Want to Sign Up For a Class on Eventbrite, but It Won’t Let Me Purchase a Ticket

That is because the class is sold out or the sales have ended.

Is There a Waitlist for Classes?

Yes! Feel free to join the waitlist if a class you are interested is sold out. You will be notified if there have been openings due to cancellations, offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

I Would Like To Give Someone A Class As A Gift. How Do I Do That?

We strongly suggest purchasing gift cards instead of individual tickets to classes. You can purchase a gift card online (http://www.murrayscheese.com/murrays-gift-card.html) or at either New York locations. If you would like to purchase online for an amount not listed, please call our ecommerce dept, 888-692-4339. x7

I Have A Gift Card And Want To Buy Class Tickets With It.

Please visit our classes page on Eventbrite and decide which class you would like to attend. Once you know your class date, title and time, please follow this link to give us all of your gift card information.

We will process your request asap and you will receive final confirmation of your class attendance with an email follow up from Eventbrite. YOUR CLASS RESERVATION IS NOT CONFIRMED UNTIL THIS FINAL CONFIRMATION EMAIL FROM EVENTBRITE. Do You Offer Private Classes?

Yes, we offer a wide variety of private classes and events. If you email education@murrayscheese.com, a Murray’s representative will contact you with options to customize an event that is perfect for your group.

Do You Offer Private Classes For Groups Smaller Than 10 Guests?

We would be happy to customize a class for your smaller group, but we will need to charge you for the minimum guest count of 10.

Our classrooms are located upstairs at our venue and are therefore not wheelchair accessible.
What If I Can't Make The Class I Signed Up For?

Limits on Liability

By registering to attend and attending Murray’s Cheese In-Person Class, Tasting, or Catered Event ( each, an “Event”), I, and on behalf of any other attendee that I have registered for the Event (collectively, “We” or “Our”) hereby waive, release and discharge any and all claims for damages or personal injury, death, or property damage which we may have or which may hereafter accrue as a result of our attendance at or participation in the Event. This release is intended to discharge, in advance, Murray’s Cheese, LLC, its affiliates, and their officers, directors, members and managers and all other members of its staff whether contracted or employed, from and against any and all liability arising out of or connected to in any way with any participation at the Event. We agree and understand that our attendance and participation at the Event is voluntary and we assume risks associated with the activity in which we will be participating. If alcoholic beverages are consumed during the Event, we understand that this may increase our risk of injury and agree not to operate a motor vehicle if we may be over the legal limit. I represent and warrant that I am authorized to provide the aforementioned waiver, release, and discharge on behalf of any attendees that I have registered for the Event.
